Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS3
Big Things Come In Small, Colorful Packages
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS3 is an easy to use point-and-shoot camera that promises to deliver simple but strong photos.
If you want an easy-to-use pocket camera, then try the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS3. It’s a step below the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS5 but is still a powerful camera that still packs up a punch. It comes in four colors: black, blue, pink and silver and delivers simple but strong photos.
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS3 features the iA mode or Intelligent Auto mode, with 5 shooting-assist functions. This includes Mega O.I.S. Intelligent ISO Control, Intelligent Scene Selector, Face Detection and Quick AF functions.
The Mega OIS function controls shaky hands while the Intelligent ISO Control stops motion blur from taking over the photos. The Intelligent Scene Selector automatically selects the right scene for the photo from regularly used scene modes, including Portrait, Scenery, Night Portrait and Night Scenery. The Fact Detection function recognizes a human face to automatically set the right focus and exposure. The Quick AF system enables the camera to set the right focus without the need to press the shutter halfway down.
With the iA mode enabled, you don’t have to worry about adjusting the settings whenever the place, time or amount of light changes when you take your photo.
The DMC-FS3 also features a 2.5-inch, 230,000-dot high-resolution LCD display for a clearer view of the photos. The LCD automatically determines the present light condition at the time the photos were taken. Whether you’re viewing your photos outside in the bright lights or in the dark with low lights, the LCD adjusts itself automatically to the present settings. It also has a High Angle mode that makes images on the LCD screen easy to view when held high above the head.
The Panasonic DMC-FS3’s long battery life ensures 330 photos on a single battery charge. A Title Edit option is also available to include additional information about the photos taken. The DMC-FS3 has its own built-in 50mb of memory to store all your photos as well as uses an SD/SDHC/MMC memory card.
If you’re on a budget and looking for a point-and-shoot digital camera that will try to do everything for you, then the Panasonic DMC-FS3 is the one for you.
