The Panasonic FZ18 is an 8-megapixel camera that features 18x optical zoom, wide angle 28mm lens, and multiple “intelligent” technologies that will allow amateur and professional photographers to capture great images.
One of the main features of this digital SLR is the ISO Control which automatically adjusts the shutter speed and sensitivity to prevent blurry images caused by moving subjects or fast-paced scenes such as sports.
To prevent blurry photos caused by unsteady hands, the camera also features ISO lens that works by compensating movements. With this technology, photographers can take clear photos without using a camera stand or tripod.
When it comes to “intelligent” technologies, the digital SLR boasts Face Detection that works by automatically identifying up to 15 faces and focusing these and adjusting the exposure to allow users to capture dramatic portraits.
Scene Selector, another intelligent technology, works by adjusting the lighting and exposure of the camera to accommodate every condition. With night scenery mode, night portrait, macro, portrait, and scenery modes, photographers can take dramatic photos without manually adjusting the settings.
Other features are Red-eye Reduction, built-in flash, sports mode, noise reduction, self-timer, color effect modes (e.g. sepia, black and white, cool, warm), resizing tools, microphone, speaker, JPEG support, video recording capability, 27MB built-in memory, SD/SDHC Memory card, and 2.5-inch LCD monitor.
