The Panasonic DMC-FZ7 is a 6-megapixel digital-SLR that features 12 times optical zoom, MEGA Optical Image Stabilizer, and other image technologies that support crystal-clear and noise-free photos. Another notable feature of this digital camera is its small and compact frame for easy carrying.

For photography hobbyists who are looking for a powerful digital camera but have limited budget, the Panasonic DMC-FZ7 ($369) is highly ideal with its 12 times optical zoom, a feature which is found in 35mm film cameras but minus the size.

This “intelligent” technology is a tiny microcomputer that detects unnecessary hand movements and makes certain adjustments to eliminate the blurry images.

One of the most remarkable features is the 2.5-inch LCD screen which is 40 percent brighter than outdoor lights, allowing users to see clear images on the panel without a reflection. The LCD also boasts “High Angle” feature that allows people to hold the camera higher than their eye level but still able to project clear images on the screen (most camera LCDs, when hold in an awkward angle, will produce blotched images).

To allow users to choose the most impressive shots, the camera has the capability to take 14 consecutive shoots in one press of a button (for every second, the device can take three frames). With this capability, making a photo essay is easier and more convenient.

The DMC-FZ7 also includes AV and USB cables, lens cap, 16MB SD memory card, battery pack and charger, lens hood and adapter, and strap.
