The Nikon S610 is a compact camera that supports “intelligent” image technologies including the Face Priority which can detect 12 faces and shoot these with the most ideal camera setting; red-eye reduction; Scene Auto Selector for automatically setting the light and color contrast depending on the scene; and EXPEED Image Processor that supports high-resolution photos.
The Nikon S610 is a 10-megapixel compact camera that features impressive image technologies including the 4x wide-angle zoom NIKKOR Glass Lens that supports sharper lines and vibrant colors, allowing pictures to appear more realistic.
To further optimize the color, the camera has EXPEED Image Processor that improves the color contrast. This photo processor also supports “intelligent” technologies including the Smile Shutter that automatically captures a smiling face of a person.
Another “intelligent” technology is the Scene Auto Selector that automatically adjusts the camera setting after recognizing a certain scene. With this technology, novice users can still capture dramatic and clear photos.
In addition, the camera has a 3-inch widescreen LCD designed to support high resolution images. Also, the panel has a special anti-reflection and high-contract coating that will allow the users to view clear images even in low-light environment and direct sunlight.
Other “intelligent” features include Active Child Mode that automatically tracks a moving subject to improve camera focus, in-camera Red-eye Fix Technology, Face Priority which can detect up to 12 faces to support dramatic group portraits, and D-Lighting that lightens underexposed areas.
To capture fast-moving scenes and compensate camera shake, the S610 has Optical VR Image Stabilization that extends faster framing and smoother action. This technology is also ideal in shooting video recording especially in sports.
Other features are 16 Scene Modes for accommodating different lighting conditions and backgrounds, video and sound support, and SD/SDHC card compatibility.
