The Navman N40i is the GPS device that’s built for your car. It gets you where you want to go and it takes a photo of where you’re going.

Navman N40i GPS imageWhile not exactly the most beautiful design in GPS devices, the Navman N40i GPS doesn’t look bad but does not scrimp on its features to give you better navigation. Weighing 200 grams, the N40i GPS was built for use inside the car rather than outside. The package includes an in-car charger, a power pack, standard USB cable, a software CD and a windscreen suction mount.

The 3.5-inch touch screen display comes with anti-fingerprint coating that keeps your N40i clean. It also comes with a memory card slot you can use for additional maps and saving routes. The Navman N40i also includes a 1.3 megapixel camera. It’s not a lot, in fact a mobile phone with camera works much better, but it’s enough to capture a photo of where you went to and use that to for future reference.

The Navman N40i works faster now and takes just about 30 seconds to calculate how to get to a destination after putting the address in the GPS device. And the device comes with a mounting bracket with a suction cup so you don’t have to worry about where to place it, falling off to the floor and just losing it. You can just concentrate on getting to your destination.

The Navman N40i also includes two buttons for the nearest Fuel and Park facilities so you never have to worry about running out of fuel or having difficulties looking for parking facilities. With just a touch of a button, it will guide you to it effortlessly. You can also choose to add the optional T1 Traffic Pack to get real-time available updates on traffic.

One disadvantage about the Navman N40i is the battery life. It’s supposed to last up to five hours but with its other added features, it’s safe to say that it will last up to two hours. You can switch it off to save battery life or charge it on schedule.

Overall, the Navman N40i has improved a lot from its predecessors. It’s still not the perfect GPS device in the market but it’s still a safe journey with the N40i.
