For those who are looking for a relatively cheap mobile phone, they may consider to purchase Motorola V190 that features limited capabilities (of course, it comes at a very low price). While this phone has basic features like SMS, Bluetooth, MP3 ringtones, and Java 2.0, they should consider that this device will not satisfy the needs of web-centric consumers.

Motorola V190 Phone imageThe Motorola V190 is one of the latest non-camera phones that features basic capabilities such as Java 2.0, SMS and MMS messaging, MP3 ringtones, internal antenna, and quad-band GSM. While this device apparently lacks more advanced technologies such as Wi-Fi connectivity and Internet capability, it comes at a relatively low price.

This clamshell-designed mobile phone also has a Bluetooth connectivity that allows users to transfer and receive digital data (message, songs or pictures) wirelessly. However, users may not able to maximize this capability since the phone has only 10MB internal memory, which is lower compared to most cell phones in the market today.

Despite its lack of capabilities such as Internet connectivity which is now considered by most consumers as a necessity, the V190 has at least a few notable features including its long battery life (perhaps its lack of certain energy-consuming capabilities has helped); easy to press numeric keyboard; built-in radio; and external mini-screen that can show display important details such as SMS, Instant Messages, battery level, and network signal.

Meanwhile, these are some of the most notable downside of this phone: speakerphone may not as useful as it should be; heavy and bulky design which makes the phone seems like from a prehistoric era; user interface extremely large; and scratched-prone cover.

Apart from all the downside, the most alarming about the phone is its incompatibility with many USB chargers.

However, it may not be reasonable to demand more advanced capabilities from this cheap phone. After all, quality has never been cheap. But for those who are only looking for a mobile phone that has text messaging and call features, the V190 may be a good purchase.
