Magellan GPS 5310 is a navigational device that features a 5-inch screen display that supports Touch Sensitive Technology and a highly intuitive menu option that provides accurate mapping details with countless of points of interests and street names.

Meanwhile, the GPS also has a SmartDetour that provides people with traffic information about freeways and interstate highways. This service is free of charge.

Another impressive feature is “SayWhere”, a text-to-speech technology that will allow users to hear street names and voice directions. With such capability, drivers will no longer have to look at the screen just to receive direction from the GPS.

Complementing this feature is the AAA TourBook that provides information about landmarks, tourist attractions, accommodations, restaurants, and other roadside assistance that will make it easier for people to travel to unfamiliar places.

When it comes to user-friendliness, this GPS boasts an intuitive user interface that supports menu options that will allow people to navigate easily, pick destinations, and receive accurate mapping details.

Another notable feature is the highly-portable design of GPS 5310—its chassis is ultra-thin and compact, in addition to being extremely durable so the gadget can withstand excessive use.

Just like most GPS devices, this Magellan model has points of interests that can reach up to 6 million including restaurants, hotels, gas stations, road services, ATMs, and other establishments and facilities that are relevant to travelers. The good thing about the points of interests is that most of these include phone numbers. (However, the built-in maps only cover Canada, US, and Puerto Rico.)

To further allow users to easily locate certain destinations, GPS 5310 features QuickSpell where they can enter locations and the gadget will automatically provide a list of results.

Other features include: 3D and 2D display, auto night view to see the screen even in low-light environment, rechargeable lithium-ion battery, and address book.
